Mulch Options

We offer standard brown, black, and natural hardwood mulch. For most South County ornamental beds, a natural or dark brown hardwood mulch at two to three inches depth is the standard recommendation. We'll advise on the best option for your specific planting situation.

Timing

Spring mulch installation (April and May) is our highest demand window. We recommend scheduling early. Fall top-dressing is also available for beds that lost mulch cover over the summer.
